I Am

I trembled when I touched him
I drank his every kiss
His body right beside me
Is what I really miss.

The longing and the waiting
Of him to come to me
The harsh anticipating
Diving into his sea

Of love and all that’s present
I can reach out and feel
And knowing that he is waiting
To nuture and to shield.

That's what she said, too. I guess you've encapsulated the essence perfectly here.

Awesome write! I'm becoming a fan -a fan, Joanne! (sorry, please forgive me for that lapse in mature humor :D)... great job here!
