I Always Find Myself Alone
Deep in the night,
As everyone falls asleep;
I find myself awake and alone
With a perfect promise to keep.
I keep on thinking
Of the words so comforting;
As I find myself alone
With a pen to do the writing.
In broad daylight,
As the sun shines so bright;
Yes, I find myself alone,
Seeking sentences to write.
After searching for the love,
For the rest of my life;
I still find myself alone
With my one and only wife.
Yes, no man is an island,
Sitting in the silent sea;
But the island is beautiful
For all the people to see.
Between lasting peace
And serenity that I've known;
I'll stand gladly without fear,
I'll always find myself alone.
