I

I

I had an idea
Far to the back of my mind
It wasn’t clear
A glint not a shine

I had a thought
Couldn’t pin it down
I had a dream
In my dressing gown

I had a whim
Grabbed at thin air
I can’t swim
Throw me a chair

I hunted gold
Hacked with my pick
I caught a cold
Felt quite sick

I toil all day
Hoping for a break
I earn my pay
For heaven’s sake!

An idea, a thought and a whim all came to nothing just left you sick. Enjoyed… Belle
