Hypergraphia

Hypergraphia is demeaning,
It gives my life little meaning.
When a "poet" has the urge to write'
And picking up a pen causes fright,
Nothing comes to mind,
The more I think, I find,
The will to write is strong,
What has gone wrong?
I cannot think of a theme in rhyme or prose.
I wish this urge to write would go.
My racing brain and wavering pen,
Says Stop, you will not write again.
So for a while, I'll do my best
And attempt to put this urge to rest.

I feel the frustration here, and relate so well to it "I cannot think of a theme in rhyme or prose. I wish this urge to write would go."

It's like an itch that needs to be scratched...
