Hush of Night

In the midst of each starry night I lay upon a bed of meadow grass Moonbeams provide ample light To watch the world silently pass In the night I enjoy the gentle hush It's a time when I pray in undertone In darkness there is no need to rush I welcome the solitude of being alone I revel in wonder when night is still A nightingale sings a beautiful song I close weary eyes and drink my fill In dreams the night is where I belong. 6/13/16
