Hurtin Days

sitting here all alone
looking at the telephone
my thoughts are all of you
and everything we've been through

can't make it by myself
gonna look for someone else

my hurtin' days are over
your love wasn't true
lookin' o'er your shoulder
I see, you've got someone new

5:00 A.M. rolls around
but you're still out on the town
I know you think I'm so nieve
but I know what's up your sleeve

everything was paradise
I saw the way you looked into her eyes
she isn't in love with you
she's only going to use you, use you

can't make it by myself
gonna look for someone else

my hurtin' days are over
your love wasn't true
lookin' o'er your shoulder
I see, you've got someone new

you're gonna realize
you had true love before your eyes
but you thought you could get better
now you'll be alone forever
