Hurt

Hurt, once again
I should have known
enticed to let go
of the past
and cling to what could be
following the example of vulnerability
misled, instead, by falseness of intent
won't make me hurt
don't make me hurt
But, I'm hurt once again
By another soul I trusted
Actions speak louder than words
Hearts breaking speak louder than all
This point turns full circle,
as it once did to my dismay
Now leaves me going in
one direction...
along, alone, again
Done trying to not try
Done trying at all
Meet the new me.
