Hurt

Listen to the rhythm of my heartbeat
Listen to my heart screaming in pain
All due to the lies that you speak
But tell me, what benefits do you gain?

What do you get when you hurt me?
A thousand satisfactions or misery?
i could only cry tears of agony,
Oh young man, have a little mercy.

Weak indeed is my brittle heart,
And you've caused it so much pain,
On the day from me you depart,
i wonder if it would ever heal again.

Your sweet words were poison to me,
Making me believe you as if in trance,
Nay, I shan't beg and i shan't plea,
Nay, never would i give you a chance
