Hurry Darling

Writing you a love letter
Making up a song
Missing you so very much
Darling don't be long

Thinking of your shining eyes
Your crazy little grin
When you breathe into my ear
The way I feel's a sin!

You reach for me again
And I lose all my will
Wrapped up in your arms
Gives me a fine chill

I'm writing to you darling
So hurry don't be late
Take the road less traveled
Cos I can hardly wait!

aww, I practically sung this... sweet sentiment, simple rhyme and structure and the meter was consistent. A solid write!

I love the feeling of hope and joy you convey so well in this poem, Deb. It inspires those of us who have played the game of love and lost. Great work! Love, Carolyn
