Hunger Allows No Choice
There is no such thing as society,
society is just you,her and I,
there is no such thing as community,
only you,him and I is what we see;
Thereby,there is no such thing as the state
or village,town,county,city to hate
berate,blame as we collectively moan,
forgetting,no one exists alone;
Each connected,mother,child brother,
one to the other,neighbours,and unique;
We must love one another,is the cry,
without philadelphia,we die.
Inspired by a phrase in WH Auden's poem 'September 1939'
