Hunger
I hunger for true love
as I always have done.
I hunger for boundless energy,
stolen along with my youth.
I hunger for my adult children
to be encased in my arms again.
I hunger for peace of mind,
knowing I did my best.
I hunger for my body to
reflect the small amount I eat.
I hunger for the invisible springs
once attached to my dancing feet.
I hunger for these appetites
never to recede...
