Humunculus
humunculus
made of clay
first wet and supple
now dried and cracked
broke and crumbled
God gave a speech
up on his hill
we sit in Church and learn
his will.
and clean the pews
with their dirt brown crust
left there-
by
years of oily, wandering
hands.
