Hummingbirds
Loving, trusting creatures
they hover to and fro
collecting natures necture,
helping her to grow
feeding from the bounty
of our great mother earth
flying o're her meadows
rainbow colors on their gerth
They spread their love and laugher
in the whistle of their wings
they share the hope they gather
and the peacefulness it brings
Though they be the smallest
of natures little birds
their whistling songs more soothing
than anything ever heard.
