Notes About The Poem

I've believed this for many years, when I truly learned and understood what being humble truly means. Humility opens the door and sorta' like gives oxygen to all the positive traits associated with Love. So, in essence, when we cultivate humility, we invite Love into our hearts. Where there is Love, there cannot be hate; where there is the presence of humility, the ego is kept in check and subdued and therefore, cannot gain the upper hand and control a person's heart, ultimately behaviour. Humility and ego cannot co-exist in equal strength/capacity. "Inflation of humility enables deflation of ego." ~ Artsieladie Quote ♥

I've written another poem about humility being the master trait. When I take the time to locate it, I'll post it. Humility Vs Ego

"Humility Vs Ego"

Humility is the Master Trait,
Controlling all the rest.
It minimises the lesser
And accentuates the best.

If ego is taking center stage,
Then also is ego fed pride.
Where these too are prevalent,
Humility cannot co-reside. 

Humility enables a person to 
Admit when they are wrong.
Humility keeps ego in check, 
Keeps it from being strong.

Humility's presence is required
In the maintenance of Love,
Enables trust and forgiveness
And all that Love's made of. 

Ego, when it is the ruler 
Of the self's heart and mind,
Allows in the lesser traits
Of the unpleasant kind.

Ego accepts no responsibility,
But instead, shifts the blame
To justify, wipe away the guilt,
To relieve the heart from shame.

But only humility can 
Keep free the heart and soul
From the shackles of the guilt,
Compromising the whole.

Ego is deceptive, a disguise,
Convincing the self to believe
In falseness instead of truth,
For to satan's seed conceive.

Humility must be practiced,
Felt within the heart, true.
Otherwise, satan's friend, ego,
Has made a successful coup.

For one to say they're humbled,
They must behave so and act.
For failure upon testing means
With satan they've made a pact.

Humility is of God.
He Demands this from us
Because He Knows 
This is our biggest plus.

To Love He Gives so Pure,
Humility opens the door.
Humility enables the healing
Humanity's searching for.

But humanity is too proud,
Too arrogant to concede,
Holding onto ego
And all its evil, feed. 

Humility is the Master Trait,
Most important above the rest,
For it unlocks the door to Pure Love,
The Gift from God, the Best!
