Humility

Thanksgiving is a holiday needed,
Heaven knows so unheeded,
Allowing us the time to take the time,
Needed in our hurried pace,
Keystone to realms sublime,
So crucial in this race.
Giving God our simple gratitude,
Isn’t too much to ask,
Voiced thanks for our daily food
Is a loving task,
Nevertheless, at times we may forget,
God is Love; we’re in His debt.

Daily thinking about how good we have it,
A grateful prayer could become a habit,
Yea, that day is now.....let's grab it.

Robert, This gentle reminder should inspire us all to be grateful for all things, especially for the basic things others do not have....pass on some of God's love to another.Thank you for sharing this. Love, Audrey

You're surely on a roll now, Robert, and this one is a timely reminder of the essence of the season. If you don't mind, I'll print it out and offer it as grace for our Thanksgiving gathering.

Take it from "Tom" the turkey, life can be wonderful. Why not give thanks. Love, Dave

Indeed, God is love. He hears so many prayers asking for blessings and so few that offer thanks for blessings received. I'll remember this, Rob. Thank you! Love, Carolyn

Hi Robert. Lovely piece. Great the way it moves from almost a prayer to the modernistic ending ( which I love) 'Yea, that day is now.....let's grab it.' Thanks, Eamon PS. thanks for your kind comment on the contest.
