Humility

Teach us to be humble
For we often lose our way
In life we often stumble
O’er paths that lead astray

Teach us to be humble
When we do not see eye to eye
With others we often grumble
And make each other cry

Teach us to be humble
When words we fail to speak
In life we often fumble
Throw our weight on those who are weak

Teach us to be humble
Before the great Yahweh
Our stiff knees before Him must crumble
For He is life’s gateway
