Humbly Untouched

Humility is a trait to be sought
for it's a real prized jewel
very few can claim to have it
it's not found by any set rule

When you know you are nothing
you're out of reach of any touch
whether it be praise of any kind
no disgrace is ever too much

The reason for this fact is
you know what you are
being truly humble is being zero
never wanting to be a star

But so few reach this state
Mother Teresa is one of the few
one who put others before her
resisting praise no matter how due

To live and be humbly untouched
O to know this would be surreal
but then knowing would show it false
for the humble never recognise it but kneel

(Some thoughts on a quote from Mother Teresa.
' If you are humble, nothing will touch you, neither praise nor disgrace because you know what you are'.)
