Humbled Greatly

Humbled Greatly (to the point of returning back to you) Ready or not, there you are Ready or not, I wear this scar It’s handsome and beautiful to me It’s on my sweater of adversity and poverty Letting go of envy and hatred Letting go of jealousy and dread Letting go of lust and temptation Letting go of the mere frustration Humbled greatly Thank me later I pick myself up from the debris I’m not a debator So, don’t talk politics to me That’s my only plea Humbled greatly Sarcasm rolling on the tongue in resentment and discouragement But, I’ll encourage happy and optimistic memories of merriment…merriment… Ready or not, here I flee I am so extremely full of glee I want to be frankly free Is it a possibility? Can I get the opportunity? Letting go of envy and hatred Letting go of jealousy and dread Letting go of lust and temptation Letting go of the mere frustration Humbled greatly Thank me later I pick myself up from the debris I’m not a debator So, don’t talk politics to me That’s my only plea Humbled greatly Sarcasm rolling on the tongue in resentment and discouragement But, I’ll encourage happy and optimistic memories of merriment…merriment… Letting go of envy and hatred Letting go of jealousy and dread Letting go of lust and temptation Letting go of the mere frustration Humbled greatly Thank me later I pick myself up from the debris I’m not a debator So, don’t talk politics to me That’s my only plea Humbled greatly Sarcasm rolling on the tongue in resentment and discouragement But, I’ll encourage happy and optimistic memories of merriment…merriment… Dishearten the heartless comments made Parade in compassionate bliss without spreading hate Love till your heart gives out — let’s have a trade With my racing thoughts, with my racing soul in this race towards His gate Letting go of envy and hatred Letting go of jealousy and dread Letting go of lust and temptation Letting go of the mere frustration Humbled greatly Until it aims your direction I’m trying my hardest to earn your affection Heal this impaired iniquity Possibly, I’m losing my mind honestly
