Starving children die Peacefully the greedy sleep Humanity's shame!* © Demetrios Trifiatis 10 July 2018 * According to UNICEF more than 15.000 children die each day because of starvation! If only humanity showed the same compassion as in the case of the trapped in the cave of Thailand children, we certainly would have a much better world.

In so few words you have said so much that cannot be ignored.It is sad that we have evolved mentally and physically yet spiritually we are way behind.I am grateful though for any display of compassion whether it be saving the boys in the cave or a few chosen words such as your own.Thank you Demetrios.

Absolutely! A shame! Having, on the one hand, deprived, starving, impoverished children and on the other hand, affluent people who give no heed! Once again, thanks to civil actions, organisations.. we can always save humanity! Great work dear Demetrios! A call for Humanity, a great work of art! Stay safe and blessed always.

What a terrible inhumane truth ! So many children to die and those who have plenty care less! They forget though that God watches all of us and the day will come that we have a lot of explaining to do! Thank you my dearest , Besma for your humanity and for your support! Be blessed. Thank you!

Unfortunately it seems the greedy have no difficulties for they amass provisions that could last for centuries and are not willing to share anything with the needy! God bless you my dearest, Anne-Lise! Hugs!xxx

Such a sad world we live in Demetrios, mankind spends billions on arms and technology yet he can't feed his children. And the tons of food that is thrown away because it would hurt their profits.

Especially in third world countries where life is cheap,and starving children go unnoticed. What Victor says is very true, some do starve their children to death, or worse send them out as sex workers. Indeed what is this world coming to? It is Humanity's shame as you say in your profound Haiku. We must all strive to create more awareness, as you are....Maria xxx
