Humanity Will Prevail

Not too long ago- hatred was inflicted,
With a war that left civilians conflicted,
Everything got out of control,
Violence bred violence,
No Peace- just blatant war!

In confusion in mourning and anger,
In refusal of discussing the matter,
Cyprus was no longer the same,
Two sides- placed on each other the blame!

An island once whole- now split in two,
It’s up to us to reveal what’s true,
Lies were used to cover the identity of each side,
Now together we stand side by side,

So that’s the story of our island,
The secret is- humanity will prevail,
Let’s all unite and stand- hand in hand!
We can’t afford to bail,
THIS IS OUR ISLAND!
