Humanity

I can’t help but think,
That everything we “humans” do,
Has a huge impact on this planet.
This life has been tainted,
By almost everything we’ve created.
Doesn’t that weigh on your heart?

I don’t understand,
How we go about our days,
Like nothing we’ve done is wrong.
We’re killing life and that’s a fact.
Our problem is not the economy,
It is simply mankind itself.

I look around and see life dying.
And I fear the worst.
The end may be near.
But really life,
Would be better off without us.
So when our days are numbered,
Just remember we deserve much worse.
For we are destroyers of life.
