Human Nature
Tears, no matter the amount shed
Cannot resurrect the dead
This knowledge leaves the living broken
Such is the way of women and men
The loss of another can shatter one to pieces
Which life will be the next that ceases?
It is not the loss itself that causes such grief
It's knowing that you could be next to crumble like a leaf
Fear of death fills us with dread
We want to live forever instead
Such a foolish concept we let seep in
Leaving all its believers feeling chagrin
