Human
Feelings of Joy and gladness
Soon replaced with such sadness
Overcome by the emotions of one
Who is locked inside, hidden from the sun
The weeping and grinding of teeth
Aren't disturbed by the disbelief
Of these waves that dance to the song
Sung by a girl long since gone
Gifts given in a spirit of mirth
The value of friends measures your worth
And the pieces of life you choose to share
Are not the best, just those you could spare
Our decisions are our own
To be together or to be all alone
A loneliness that creeps inside
An emptiness that screams run and hide
Pieces of human intuition
Abundantly guided by indecision
Lead us on a path of defeat
Creatures of habit, we are bound to repeat
Stabbing ourselves with senseless things
Makes way for others to live as kings
While our lives spin helpless out of control
We sell our soul in part or in whole
I don't believe in the things you say
Losing your sanity
Oh the humanity you betray
You can't believe in the things I say
Lost your reality
Oh the brutality you give away
