Hugs

Hypodermic needles Get you medicine real fast, Allowing drugs to enter Into bloodstreams like a blast. To transfer one’s affection Like a needle-piercing drug Can be managed very simply Through the power of a hug. The hug I mean is strong and close, Enveloping and tight, The kind that the recipient Will know’s not just polite. When I can see my friends again, My children and my grands, My hugs will speak a language Every huggee understands. for the Hugs Contest of Craig Cornish

I'm not a huggee but I am a warm hand shaker. In France the American habit of hugging anyone is frowned upon. In fact, the French have no word equivalent to our "hug." "Embrasser" (embrace) is as close as they get. Yet they think nothing of kissing either sex on the cheeks? Think about that. / M

"Huggee" is my new favorite word! Thanks for this "shot in the arm", ilene. You always seem to know just what the doctor ordered. Virtual hugs ~ John

Hugs and hypodermic needles. Only a pro could think of that analogy. Thanks, Ilene. :) gw

Oh I can't wait to be able to be close enough to people to give them a hug - Being able to have physical contact with our family is something I think many of us are missing so much. Hold tight Ilene, it won't be too long until we can meet our loved ones again:-) hugs Jan xx
