Hug Your Haters
Sure is a strange title for a love poem
But the world would be a much better place
If we humans decided to lay down our arms
And hugged our haters face to face
Why are there haters to begin with
When man first evolved haters did not exist
Love was the only known emotion we knew
Then hate emerged and did persist
Now relevant in today's new world
Time to lay down the destructive tools of war
Make love mankind's only reason to really live
Let the sound of peace forever soar
Let peace be our number one priority
No other option is permitted or even considered
The only way we will survive this troubled age
Is each one of us being committed
