Notes About The Poem

Hues of Hope

Tangerine sunsets prove to my heart That endings, too, have their part Fireflies flickering across the dark Light up the way so that we remark Emerald pines, strong oak and birch Color the forest in hues to research Butterflies wishing upon a red rose Silence my longings with beautiful prose Lavender lilacs fill souls with delight Capturing hopes in breaths of insight Robins and doves soar across the dawn Awakening laughter to which we are drawn Buttery sunshine lights up my dreams Opening the heart to joy in extremes Bunny and fawn both blaze their trails Dancing gracefully, wagging happy tails Rainbows of wonders sing through my soul Wrapping me in love that makes me whole Embracing my spirit in light from the throne Where there is comfort in knowing I am never alone An interesting Couplet Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Funom Makama July 23, 2021
