Notes About The Poem
For the Weekly Poetry Challenge (Aug 24th-30th)... The colour BLUE must feature in the poem.

How Writers And Poets Use Blues...

Here is how poets
And writers will use
Blues to hold interest,
Uplift and amuse...

One may describe
A pair of crystal eyes as
Sparkling like diamonds
In the Sapphire skies.

Or express how diving in to the
Deep Blue ocean heart of another
Is part of the magic involved
In getting to know each other.

They may rejoice with song
How a Baby Blue sky on a sunny day
Brightens their outlook, energises
And chases the blues away.

A persons spirit may be
As refreshing as Aqua
The qualities of a good friend
To cherish forever after.

A special someone of value
May be considered Royal Blue,
A treasure, a gem
True and loyal too.

Turquoise and Teal
May reflect beauty and zeal.

Ice Blue may suggest
Intensity and strength of steel
A person sincere and
Keeping it real.

When writing from their
Depressive zones,
Feelings are shaded
In Dark Blue tones.

In humour,
Blue can exaggerate
The colour of a person
In a very cold state.

Blue can be romanticised to woo.
Blue can convey deepest thoughts too.
Symbolism, reflection, meditation...
Blue can feature in many written creations.

Yes, this is how poets
And writers use Blues
To share their depth
Understanding and amuse.

Thanks Dorothy 💐 ♥️🫂 wanted to use different shades of blue for the theme challenge. 💙 😊 its one that could have been taken in so many directions but the idea came to mind about how we poets write and sometimes use colour to add weight to the feelings we try to get across xx 😉 much love ❤️ xxx

Thanks Andrea ☺️ I thought it would be good to show how different shades of blue might be used as with green, there are many shades xx 💙🦋
