How Would You Feel?
How would you feel if you were taken from your home
And placed in a little cage all on your own
With barely enough room to move, let alone roam?
No pity or compassion shown
Towards these poor animals
They’re just thrown together
Traveling from country to country
No matter what the weather
Trained to perform unnatural tricks
Just so people can get their kicks
When they come to see the circus
It’s berserk just how much they make the poor animals work
It hurts to see the hunger in their eyes
And to hear their mournful cries
If there’s one thing I despise
It’s cruelty to animals
They have no water to drink
And their food bowls lie empty
So next time you even think about joining your family on a circus trip
You ought to spare a thought
For the animal slaves who only crave
A bit of freedom and love
Not to be stuffed into tiny cages
In this day and age
It is an outrage
It would make you shrink with fright
We have to put up a fight
For circus animals are living beings too
And they should be able to live their lives the way wild animals should do
