How Will I Know

How will I know it is you?
Will you reach out to me
Touching my heart tenderly
As love so often does

How will I know it is you?
Will I see my future
In a waking dream
That takes my breath away

How will I know it is you?
Will the sun shine brighter
Lighting the darkened path
That destiny has chosen for me

How will I know it is you?
Will my heart race
And flutter to the beat
Of a celestial symphony

How will I know it is you?
Will the burdens I carry
Wash away with the tides
And leave me feeling anew

How will I know it is you?
How can I be sure
I will recognize you
And not let you pass me by

In a single moment I knew
I felt love in my heart
Breathless as I saw my future
Lit in the path before me

In a single moment I knew
My heart raced and fluttered
My burdens fled
I knew you hadn’t passed me by

In a single moment I knew
All I needed to do was believe
To reach out to you
And open my heart letting you in

In a single moment I knew
That God was with me all along
Guiding, teaching and loving
As all good parents do.....

Thank you Father.....My Lord...My God
