How To Beat the Blues

HOW TO BEAT THE BLUES

When troubles all surround you and you are feeling blue,
There is a way to beat it, and this is what to do:
Just open up your Bible and then a promise claim,
Believe that God is able, and call upon His name.
And if you feel His presence is very far away,
Perhaps the separation is from your sin today.
You can reclaim His presence by confessing all your sin
And then you’ll feel Him closer as you have been forgiv’n
And then proclaim God’s power, unlimited and great;
It’s there just for the asking if you will pray and wait.
And as you claim the promise, His presence you reclaim,
His power you’re proclaiming as you call upon His name.
Start then to sing His praises, for the answer’s on the way;
Believe that you’ve received it when you knelt there to pray.
As you begin to ponder His promises so great,
And as you feel His presence while you there meditate,
And when you sense His power and exclaim His praises, too,
You’ll soon forget your troubles and you will beat the blues!
