Why would you want to be? Do you need a section that cheers? If you are a good poet, you do know it. Comments do not mean a bit! Your ego will ask you, what’s wrong? Keep penning your own unique song! Do not compare yourself to others! This is the key to joy, my sisters and brothers. 8/28/2021

Panagiota,new poet brother. While I think I could teach anyone to find their inner voice to begin to write poetry, I draw a difference between verse & Real Poetry but would not want to begin that spat here. You might like my Address of Poetry blog. But even there I want discussion that elevates. So many poets, even, average, think of their poems as mirrors or their children & thus, as we all, like a Pat on back from contemporaries.xo

Sally, my Poet sister. I have no way to reach unaware peop,e. Glad you do. Good you have a blog. I avoid them all, as I was attacked viciously in one for a nothing comment. I know some excellent poets. The hallmark of them is they are adults and I afraid to confront reality in poetry. As you know, not all of lifeisa fum Merry Go Round. Thus far, few here can face reality and want it ...no part of poetry. Thus all the poetry about nature. As if mans crulelty to man is avoided? Thank you for the invite to your blog, Sally. My friend, your words are right on track. I write lots and lots of dark poetry- it is taboo to many poets here. They shun it. But my goal is to be true to myself-- not seek popularity. I write for future readers and those few that appreciate my verses now. I will never stop writing dark poetry.. I do not elicit comments unless that person truly likes the poem.. To me dark tho' far, far less popular -still needs to be written. God bless..

Oh, how I do understand you!as if life were a bowl of cherries? You know that Sinatra song. One line goes” “don’t take it serious, lue’s too mysterious” like rape,murder, wars...are a joke?there is beauty in ,I’ve. But it’s not a clown show. It’s pretty brutal you and I know that. I am not here to be a clown, a comic or write about bunny rabbits! You must write the dark poetry. Life these days is very dark! Grown poets know that. And yes, the resistance to reality here is quite pubescent.it’s worse than that, it’s downright annoying. I can sell out easily here! But I will not. I want my poetry to me above all truthful. I will not write la la poetry! I do not hang out with Muses or ride uncorns. I hang out in the real world... I love, love, truth in any form. I value you, my friend! Nor will I allow any high horsed poet to belittle me. I am not into- group think at all. We all should be genuine and let the chips fall where they may. Panagiota

I was waiting for this response))! And it's a valid one. My issue is.....not all people see well, or type the same speed.nor are we all 25 years old. So they will be seen as uncaring Poets,hardly true, you know very well my typing speed. Turtle! Not road runner! Not 2 lines. Rarely one line. Meaningless! Pangie

i liked Robert's comment. Unfortunately, I have a family who mostly doesn't give a fig for what I am writing! Probably my poems will end up in trash bin when I'm dead and gone.

Sorry, they do not appreciate your work it is not you they are rejecting, Andrea, they may just not like Poetry...you might love a poem..,they are so, no hum about it. Best to do is acknowledge yourself.Give yourself a trophy. When we are gone...who knows? Write for you. Forget approval here or anywhere. I know my family will not read mine. They have their own interests. I would love to see what my parents wrote. I see it in letters and notes I have and cherish. I know you are one of the best here.and you love Poetry not figures. It's still nice to get comments, dear. I feel like I am writing to the wind if I see not one single comment. It's like trees in a forest. If one falls, does anyone hear? We write for others to read us. But I DO get your point that we are also writing because we simply love doing it.

I understsand you, Andrea fully. Again, part of the problem is the comments chart, Anyone with a-pointed head can write Cool, in response or one sentence. I like in depth comments, So I can sit here all day and pen meaningless comments.....don’t give a rip about the poem or you. Just my status on the comments board,Idiotic to the max. That sux! Big time.or write on,y three line poetry to. Be on Top 100 piemsm slap on some clip artz?

Hi again.Belle. I really think we do. So, for me i is disheartening to give another poet the opportunity to say it is worth less than others. Besides, Belle....what are their credentials in doing so? Will it help they cirque ny work for me? Doubtful! And unless a PhD in English... don’t trust their hides a bit, Pangie xx

Pangie, in my Ironworker days I carried a six foot folding ruler. It had been used for so long all the markings had been smoothed off. When the inspectors asked to borrow my ruler to evaluate my accuracy I would hand them my special ruler......just sayin'
