How the Lord Changed Me

It all began with a family separation.
Growing up without a dad, was sad situation.
Pregnant at age 15, never going to my prom or even graduation.
But being a success and not a statistic was my determination.
So I struggled and went on to rise up to my destination.
At 19 yrs. old heading out for my wedding celebration.
But it wan't until Christ opened my eyes to see.
That the life I was living was truly not for me.
The Lord showed me that I was put here for a reason.
That just as a fruit I grew, but only ripened in due season.
The streets had a hold on me sex, alcohol, and drugs.
But I gave it all up in exchange for God's love.
And even though I was rebellious, the Lord stayed on my mind.
Only his anointing let me know he was there all the time.
Salvation is free, for the Lord paid the price.
So that you and I may lay hold on eternal life.
If it wasn't for the Lord, where would I be?
This is my story of "How The Lord Changed Me."
