How Sweet the Sound

When I felt so alone and no one else was there
It was His Light shone, that He really does care
With darkness all around as the walls close in
Jesus came and found in the destroying of sin

What no one else knew as loneliness came by
Jesus knew what to do as on His shoulder I'd cry
With winter outside my door and gray skies above
Then finding I was never poor covered in His Love

Even losing my way when I thought I couldn't return
The only thing He'd say is that I hope that you learn
Always there for me, in the good times and the woe
In order that I may see by His helping me to know

What would I do without, oh how I know where I'd be
To me there is no doubt that He has set me free
Though this is just one story there are so many more
Speaking of His Glory you should ask what He has in store
