How Much More Must We Take

How many more businesses will need to go under?
How many more lives will they squash and plunder?
Should my way of life be put to the test?
How many should sacrifice so you can rest?

Why should my freedom suffer so you can feel safe?
You can stay home and vegetate.
Martial law, more government control?
We are digging ourselves a mighty large hole.

The entire planet now under siege?
I’m calling BS on the powers that be.
We are the people our numbers are high.
Our leaders are hanging us out to dry.

Rise up or fall, it’s now or never.
Blind obedience is never clever.
Our way of life is being changed.
Don’t let your future be prearranged.

It’s time to act and take a stand.
Our right to choose will soon be banned.
We need exposure to live and survive.
The longer we’re home the deeper we dive.

Hello Mark … my concern is not what is happening now, but what happens when all returns to normal living. What control are we going to be under then. Will our every move be watched. That is my concern - thank you Mark - Lindsay

We will get back to normal I have no doubt. Just look at the past, we've been through worse than this and always bounce back.

The lock down is keeping cases down, but I don't think the economy can survive this way long enough for the vaccine. We will have to open back up and unfortunately, that will cost lives.

With everyone staying indoors in isolation and wearing masks and gloves their immune systems are going down, we need to be exposed to certain germs in order to keep our immune systems up. That is what my cardiologist told me two days ago. I know things are different in certain highly populated areas. But here that is not the case. With lower immune systems people are going to get very sick quickly and the numbers will sky rocket. Thanks my friend. Stay safe.

Well said Mark, we can't stay at home forever, it's a big exercise in controlling the masses. Tom

I feel sorry for all of those not working or no money in the bank. They are going to lose everything they have worked for.

Respectfully, it is a different atmosphere up here, one of coming together to pull through this temporary suspension of regular life; for the most part, obviously I don't speak for all Canadians. I do feel your frustration my friend. Mo hugs than you know what to do with. ~x!

I agree with that 100%. They're concentrating on social distancing here, closing traffic lanes here to allow for safer pedestrian use, reopening the parks. And mostly, we don't have your political climate. A minority government working better I believe than any majority ever has. A weird new world it is ;), xomo

Big hugs right back at ya Mo. Unfortunately this is largely being used for politics right now between the democrats and republicans. Meanwhile our economy is crashing and with everyone staying indoors for so long their immune systems are declining . We need germs and bacteria to maintain our immune systems. This I feel is doing more harm than good. But that is just my opinion. Stay safe my friend.
