How Much Is It Worth
How Much Is It Worth
When I was yet a young boy, while playing with my friends
I'd sometimes want to trade a toy and they'd say "that depends"
How much is it worth
I once broke a neighbors window while I was still a youth
My father made me face him and confess the truth
The man said you've two choices, you can just pay me
Or you can work it off instead, which one will it be
I stood there and I looked at him and I thought about my choice
Finally I spoke up and said in a soft unsteady voice
How much is it worth
As my days have turned to years many choices I have made
Decisions, be they right or wrong, their prices have been paid
Some were tough to live with and were not easy to defend
Would I repeat the same thing, I guess that would depend
How much is it worth
Looking back in retrospect, I think about my life
I've had so many good times and I've had my share of strife
One day when it's all over, I am sure that He
Will evaluate my life, and the final test will be
How much is it worth
