How Men Become Fathers
How do we men become fathers
I write of the traditional way
First, we have to get married
A blind leap off a cliff, you might say
And our partner has to want to be a mother
No getting around that, no way other
Then we both have to be free of 'conditions'
That might lead to 'baby-prohibition'
An egg is fertilized, a fetus is grows
Pretty soon, Mom's belly shows
A heart is detected, fingers and toes stick out
The miracle of life is what this is about...
Then the blessed event, a baby is born
Our faces as happy as a sunshine-filled morn
So, no man becomes a father all by himself
He's surrounded by Love ~ an abundance of help
