How Many Times? (From My Heart)

How many times do I have to cry? How many time are you gunna lie? How many times will I
stay? How many times will you fall astray? How many times will you break my heart? How
many times will we fall apart? How many times will you pop that pill? How many times will
my lips be still? How many time do I have to pray? How many times will you promise today?
How many times do I have to cry? How many time are you gunna lie? ~ Amber Jenkins

As long as people are willing to believe the lies keep on coming. Sad cycle that many find themselves in. Hope you've found a brighter today. Thank you for taking time to comment on my poem. Best wishes. Karen

LOVELY!!! You know Amber,"They say a leopard never changes it's spots",it's skin is yellow on it black dots.In life some are lucky, they get gold ingots; The rest get the weirdo's and drunken sot's.Like the great Mohammed Ali used to say,"You got to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee".And that is presicely what you're doing with your exciting poetry.Keep smiling!!!!!.....A zillion blessings, PRINCE

Hi Amber, If they can do it to you once, they will do it all the time, And there is nothing in your power to make them change, Because the only way they are going to change is when they are willing to do it because they recognize what they are doing, I do hope that time will mend your heart so that you can enjoy every moment of the rest of your life, because you truly deserve to be happy instead of be treated in this way. Feel free to stop by anytime, Dean

You express your frustration very well, Amber. People who repeat the behavior you describe over and over again are not likely to change. But their actions are very painful for those who care about them. Perhaps the only way to stop this behavior is to leave the relationship. Wish I had answers to your heart-wrenching questions. God bless you. Love, Carolyn
