How Loyal Are You Before You Have To Choose
A Pledge is but a trembling Star—
It flickers in the Blue—
And Faithfulness is born the hour
The Tempest wanders through—
A Vow untried is porcelain—
Too delicate to prove—
It keeps its Color—till the Weight
Of Consequence—proves True—
The Heart is but a lantern lit
By Promises we keep—
It brightens when the Shadows rise
And dims—where Choices sleep—
So—Loyalty—is not a word—
But Footsteps—on a brink—
The moment when two Paths divide
Reveals us—more than ink—
And Courage—quiet as a Thread—
Holds steady—when we part—
For only when the Cost is named
Is Loyal—truly—Heart.
