How long is instantaneous,
How long is the blink of an eye,
How long is a split second when
Describing time taken to die?
Could that perception of time 
Take on a whole new state
Could time and mortality 
Combine and participate
To expand that brief instant
Into a scale eons long
Maybe of pain and suffering
Before life is finally gone?
The inevitable mystery before
The cessation of life
Maybe a pleasant calm or
One last storm of mental strife.
Answers a body can’t ever know
Until until they are finally gone
When so far as we know
It’s too late to pass them on. 
How long is instantaneous 
How long is the blink of an eye
How long is a split second 
When describing time taken to die?
