How Does It Feel?
How does it feel when a loved one turns on you?
When you shared your hopes and dreams wishing
they would all come true?
How does it feel when lies are being told about
you? Making your so-called friends believe those
lies and at the end forsaking you?
I know you try hard to fight. I can see the desire
in your eyes. I know you are only human, so don't
be ashamed if you want to cry.
Let it all out. Believe me, I've seen the dark-side
too. I know you feel like giving up. You feel there's
nothing else to prove.
So how does it feel when you give up and you call it
a spade? Do you ever hold a gun and contemplate should
you leave this place?
How does it feel when loneliness and pain compasses you
about? If you've been through this before then you'll
know what I'm talking about.
Sometimes we feel the hurt. Sometimes we feel the rain.
But keep your head up high, because there is life after
the pain.
Some of our people have killed themselves, but what does
it really solve. It's a shame but I must say that some
were the victims of love.
If you hug me today will you betray me tomorrow? It's
something I often dread. Even though your spirit wants
to keep fighting I could see you'd rather give up instead.
How does it feel to love me and know you're being loved
back in return? That's enough to keep you going. Take
heart in this, it's a very precious lesson to learn.
