How Do You Want To See Me

How do you want to see me?
As I am or as you see?
Do you want a dream?
A fragrant flower perhaps blooming by a stream.
Do you want a mighty red wood?
I would be one if I could.
A cowboy riding on the plains
A conductor driving a long long train
I can be a fantasy
If that is what you want of me
But then you would never know
The man that I so long to show
