How Do You See Me

This mind's obsession
focuses in and out of the moment in a time
and wonders with puzzled question
how do you see me, old and frail of mind
or young and agile, athletic heart
 sequestered knowledge to impart?

Those who know me for myself
do they really have a clue
allowed to see only this outer shell
while inside I hide without you
while hidden in the inner solace and self encumbered
rages at the changing times in fearful discomfort?.

Do you see me thin and tall
a stick straight bearing almost regal
or short and fat and small
rushing through the day's chores feeble?
Every word a clue to revealing who I really am
or an intricate secret pattern laid, to hide the sham.

How do you see me?

Great question and fascinating exploration thereof, D.M! Enjoyed thoroughly. Cheers, Gershon
