How Do You Know You'Re Alive
How do you know your alive?
I know first and foremost I am alive because my heartbeat says so
because we all have the tenacity to grow
We know we're alive because we love
Our hearts have the capacity to love one another
We help each other
To see a shiny light
A light of hope when we lose sight
We share in our pain and blessings
Theres so many things
To show we're alive
It's the melodic tones when they sing
It's in all the beautiful things
Like a sunset view upon the beautiful ocean sea
Like the moments shared between you and me
Take it all in and see
That you are alive just like me
Pain is an emotion that we feel
That's how we know how we are real
It's that first kiss when you kiss your lover
It's when your kind to another
It's the cold air blowing against your skin so cold
It's when you have someone to hold
To be safe in someone's arms like it's home
It's staying connected by the phone
It's the souls you meet when you know
That you were meant to cross each other and show
That you are there for each other
Each day you wake up
Feeling the soft warm glow of the suns rays
When the future seems a little grey
It's the way you look at me
It's the moment you bend on one knee
When. You make me realise I'm alive
When you tell me you love me
Those beautiful words we've come to believe
When we said I love you
Those feelings can't be understand
I go on and on explaining the reasons I I know I'm alive
But the most important one I know
Is because of you
Your the reason for me
The one thing that tells me I'm alive
Our love is here and I'm ready to dive
So that is my explanation
So many emotions
