How Do You Know

How you know
What's in the grass if you never mow
How you know
If you don't
Stay on your toes
And have nothing to show
Now and long ago
How you know
There couldn't be an undertow
Whichever way the waters flow
How you know
We're not alone
Or if this was originally our home
How you know
The digits to my phone
How you know
If the wind'll always blow
So that you can go
Fast and not slow
On the way back home
How you know
What lies below
And above each plateau
How you know
Who was the first to throw
A stone
How you know
You cover won't be blown
By an unnaccounted for dog chewing on a bone
How you know
Which areas have not been combed
Or used so that things could be grown
How you know
There isn't black ice on the road
After a heavy duty snow
How you know
What happened on this globe
And understand every piece of art or code
How do you know
What's written in each and every tome
As well as any ode
How you know
It won't domino
Like it has ever since long ago
How do you know
The truth always, you don't
How do you know
If they won't get another chance to say goodbye or hello
How do you know
What's been all ready seen by each and every drone
And what has and hasn't all ready been cloned
How do you know
If another will end up breaking the oath
How do you know
The weather could have such an effect on growth
How do you know
Both
Sides of the slope
And the limit of each and every scope
