How Did We Get Here
What in the hell did we think would happen,
when we will pay our teachers nearly nil.
Yet we gladly pay our gladiators,
a salary over five hundred mil.
When we compensate our politicians,
with so much healthcare, bonuses, and perks.
and then we pretend that they are God-like,
when we all know that they are only jerks.
We say they’re embarrassing our country,
they are just clueless and incompetent.
But yet we will still forward all their lies,
in our next text, Facebook, or YouTube rant.
Yes, we will all keep ranting and raving,
of how society has lost its mind,
But still, we’ll continue to be the ones,
ing about anything we can find.
We keep saying how people are stupid,
for following along with all the rest.
But getting a thousand likes on TikTok,
still will not make my opinion the best.
Just because we read about some guy’s tweet,
does not make us experts on all of it.
Yet we still claim to be the smartest one,
and everyone else is just full of ****
