How Can This Be Heaven If My Angel Isn'T Here

As I passed through heavens gate on my way Back to missing you I asked my maker for an answer to one question Hoping He'd approve I said here we are in Your glory Where Angel's trod on streets of gold But how's a man supposed to free his soul When half of it ain't here to hold I asked: How can this be Heaven, if my angel isn't here My pain is gone and I saw my mom After way too many years I thank you for the mansion You built me high up on the hill But how can this be Heaven If my angel isn't here I mean You no disrespect at all And I hope I made that clear The splendor and the glory of it all Is way beyond compare I know You have Your own plan But I hope eternity will find The other half of my soul Standing right here next to mine How can this be Heaven, if my angel isnt here My pain is gone and I saw my mom After way too many years I thank you for the mansion You built me high up on the hill But how can this be Heaven If my angel isn't here Before He even said a word to me He lifted up his hand As I turned to look towards the gate again My angel walked in Standing there before me Was my angel in her grace He said son here in heaven The years go by like days Son here in Heaven The years go by like days
