How Can Heaven Ever Be Heaven
How can heaven ever be heaven
if you are not up there with me?
How can heaven ever be heaven
if I am the first one to leave?
How can heaven ever be heaven,
a paradise in which I can roam,
if while I am walking in heaven,
I am walking in heaven alone?
I do not fear my death that is coming;
I do not fear meeting my end;
But, I fear waiting up in heaven
until we are together again.
But, Darling don’t you hurry,
savor your time down here on earth;
And, Darling don’t you worry,
I’ll make the most of heaven for what heaven is worth.
But …
How can heaven ever be heaven
if you are not up there with me?
How can heaven ever be heaven
if I am the first one to leave?
How can heaven ever be heaven,
a paradise in which I can roam,
if while I am walking in heaven,
I am walking in heaven alone?
I will wait for you, Darling, forever,
but heaven is sure to be hell
until once again we are together
and our love story the angels can tell.
I will wait for you, Darling, forever,
until to heaven you do ascend
and forever we will stay together
for an eternity that will never end.
How can heaven ever be heaven
if you are not up there with me?
How can heaven ever be heaven
if I am the first one to leave?
How can heaven ever be heaven,
a paradise in which I can roam,
if while I am walking in heaven,
I am walking in heaven alone?
