How a Heart Breaks

It's in the moment taken long ago feelings that were unintended rising in suspense to know as every life becomes upended. If only I could recall the scene and these old eyes could see those fading memories and dreams of all that life for us was to be. Wouldn't change a thing not that chance first meeting or the aftermath it should bring when you were my everything. We've set aside the tears knowing one last hello is our goodbye still laughing, sighing at the years giving in with only our love left undenied. Wait for me knowing how my heart aches for now I must let you go this is how - a heart breaks.
