How?

how did you get in so deep?
slip past the walls that I had built
inside the fortress high and strong
stirring up the settled silt

how did you become embedded?
in each thought and every dream
things I thought I put to rest
what laid as sleeping memories

how did you become infused?
in each capillary and vein
coursing each time my heart beats
running rampant through my blood steam
