House Is Not a Home
a man may live in luxury
on a mountain top,
or by the sea
with soft warm breezes
to caress his face
a seeming, ever happy place
but without a heart,
inside the door
a heart with warmth
he can adore
his palace is an empty space
and filling it, will be his grace
ah men, take care
with hearts and homes
for life's not fair
and those who roam
too far and wide may never find
a door a heart will live behind
